If anyone is interested, we’ll also be holding a discussion afterwards to talk about some philosophical topics pertinent to the episode. Food and refreshments will be provided- please participate in the poll on the Facebook event page so we know what kind of food to get. Everyone is welcome! October 28th, save the date! We look forward to seeing you there!

Tutoring Service

Dear Philosophy Majors and Minors,

The Philosophy Club invites you to participate in its peer tutoring service (see attached).  Several philosophy undergraduate seniors (and graduate students) have made themselves available to help you with challenging philosophy courses you may be taking.

As a philosophy major, I know that some of you may feel intimidated going into a professor’s office hours.  I’m also aware that in the past students have requested tutoring for Phil 10, Logic.  Phil Club would like to do what we can to lessen anxiety and create an atmosphere where students feel supported and don’t feel left behind.

If you are having difficulties in any of the philosophy courses, or have questions you’d like to discuss with a student philosopher, please stop by for tutoring in the Annex, HSS, 8th floor, Room 8033.  For the rest of this quarter, we’ll be holding regular office hours on  Mondays and Fridays from 2:00 – 3:00pm, or by appointment. During finals week there will not be regular study hours, instead, please contact me by appointment.
