Later this month, come join us for Coffee with Clinton Tolley. His work focuses on the history of modern European philosophy, particularly on Kant, early analytic philosophy (especially Bolzano and Frege), and phenomenology (especially Brentano, Husserl, and the early Heidegger). On Wednesday, February 27th, 3:00 pm, we’ll be meeting Prof. Tolley for coffee at Art of Espresso (aka Mandeville coffee cart).

Coffee with a Philosopher is a great opportunity to talk with a faculty member in a relaxed environment about either philosophical or non-philosohical topics, so we hope to see you there!

Join the philosophy club for our second movie night of the quarter. We’ll be watching Primer, which is a super cool movie about time travel. We’ll watch the movie and we’re sure it will inspire some interesting conversation afterward. Since it’s our club president’s birthday we’ll also have some cake or cake-like thing and some snacks. Philosophy Club Needs You!

Summer is coming to a close, and that means that the Philosophy Club will be back at UCSD quite soon. To make sure we’re ready to start the year off right, the Philosophy Club needs your help. Hosting fun events that people come to requires people dedicated to making those events happen. So, if you love philosophy and want to make the undergrad philosophy community at UCSD a little more fun, the Philosophy Club would love to have you as an officer for this academic year.
